Recap
What a weekend that was! With 38 goals, GW 10 was the highest scoring round in the current season. Of course the record-breaking 0:9 away victory of Leicester City against a red-carded Southampton side contributed immensely. Will the Foxes keep on hitting the net in another away match against Crystal Palace? Or is there another team looking like it’s ready to teach some lessons on the pitch? Let’s see which teams are primed for high scoring opportunities and which players to watch out for!

(The match between Bournemouth and Man Utd won’t be considered a part of the week’s game as it starts earlier and is not part of this tournament on FanTeam)

Matches and Players to watch
Manchester City – Southampton (1.08 / 9.00 / 26.00)
This match needs no introduction! City playing at home against a tattered Southampton squad, that just donated its salary because of the record loss against Leicester. City scored the most goals in the current season and we can be sure of some nice scoring rewards from the wide range of their offensive players. Aguero (14.3m) didn’t start last time out in the league and we believe that he is more than ready for a multi-scoring performance. Sterling (13.9m) seems to be a must and Pep just confirmed that the Englishman is fitter than ever, so full 90 minutes seem to be possible. A lot of time to score goals against Hasenhüttl’s side! As City is playing in the Champions League some days later, the Pep Roulette will be active once again. As the match is one of the afternoon-matches on Saturday, we will be able to see the line-ups before for FanTeam purposes. If Gündogan (10.3m) starts, he could be a salary relief while still having offensive upside as he scored continuously in his last appearances.

Arsenal – Wolves (1.65 / 4.00 / 5.00)
The Wolves defense tried everything to keep a clean sheet in Newcastle but the Magpies had plenty of chances and could have scored more than just that Lascelles goal. Arsenal could not take profit from a 2:0 lead, while only center backs scored. That’s no reason for us not to pick an expensive Aubameyang (12.3m) or a back in the game motivated Lacazette (11.6m). Stacking those guys with a dangerous looking Sokratis (8.8m) or David Luiz (8.9m) for possible clean sheet points against a weak-looking Wolves offense is a good play this week.

Aston Villa vs. Liverpool (9.00 / 5.00 / 1.33)
Villa sit 15th in the league standings and are having a decent season so far. A goal against Liverpool wouldn’t surprise us so McGinn (5.3m) and Wesley (5.6m) can be cheap options with scoring potential and you have more to spend elsewhere. Liverpool assets come at a high price this week and with the Champions League around the corner, their top offensive picks are not guaranteed to receive full minutes so we will pass on them. We draft against the odds here!

Watford – Chelsea (5.00 / 4.00 / 1.65)
The Blues are the bookies clear favorite here and given Watfords disastrous offensive power that doesn’t come as a surprise. The Hornets are last in the standings, having scored only 5 goals and there were 5 different goalscorers – enough reason for us to choose Chelsea’s defensive options. Alonso (9.5m), Azpilicueta (9.8m) and Tomori (8.9m) could give their owners an advantage with clean sheet rewards. Choose two and add an offensive asset like Mount (12.2m) and you’re good to go!

West Ham – Newcastle (1.85 / 3.60 / 4.00)
Now this is a very interesting match as both teams don’t seem to have much to offer as of lately. West Ham are the bookies favourite and so their players are highly priced. That makes their opponents assets relatively cheap and if you saw Newcastle performing against Wolves you would confirm that they indeed have some offensive upside. Almiron (7.0m) was a constant threat, Joelinton (7.2m) is more than overdue for his second Premier League Goal and Lascelles (5.6m) is always dangerous when it comes to set-pieces.

Other players to watch:
Leicester were showing their huge offensive potential against Southampton but the trip to Crystal Palace won’t be as easy. Keeping a clean sheet against Southampton mainly resulted from ball possession so a strong Eagles squad (2:2 vs. Arsenal away) won’t make it that easy for them. Milivojevic (6.6m) always has value at this price as he is the main set-piece taker. Stack him with Zaha (6.8m) or Ayew (6.9m) and you’ll have enough money to spend on City assets. Kane (9.6m) is relatively low priced against a medium Everton side and McGoldrick (8.4m) should be able to produce something against Burnley at home.
